TDCJ custody and parole use a separate Texas IVSS platform. Similar branding can obscure a major line: county IVSS follows participating jail and court data, while TDCJ IVSS follows state-prison and parole data. Register Burleson Release Alerts
After selecting the correct person, subscribe only to the event choices offered by that portal. TDCJ IVSS is account-based. No verified rule requires the old four-digit VINE telephone PIN for this service. A legacy county telephone path may still use a PIN to acknowledge calls, while current account or email confirmation can differ.

Why Burleson VINELink Changed
Burleson County is unusual because its jail page routes status questions to VINELink instead of hosting a Sheriff roster. The statewide migration then changed the county notification layer while TDCJ kept a separate service. Old VINELink screens remain useful as history, but they must be labeled by system and date.
The successor service does not replace the Sheriff’s underlying custody record. If a notice says released, ask whether the event was bond, time served, dismissal, sentence completion, or transfer. A transfer to TDCJ, another jail, the U.S. Marshals Service, or ICE ends county custody but does not show a community release.
Confirm Burleson County Release
Delivery can lag behind the event, and agency participation controls coverage. A negative result proves only that the searched system returned no match for that query at that time. It does not prove release. Save the spelling, date, portal, and result status, then contact the proper source.
